Apostille attestation is the procedure of requiring or legalising a single document for travel to all Hague member nations. A document from one of the signatory nations can be certified for compliance reasons in all other member countries, according to the 1961 Hague Convention. The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, applies an apostille stamp, which is a square-shaped computer-generated sticker stamp, on the reverse of a document. It is a one-of-a-kind computer-generated stamp with a unique identifying number that any member nation of The Hague convention may employ to verify its authenticity online. In most cases, once a document has been apostilled, it does not need to be certified again by the respective embassy.
